Who Would Have Continued To Think? (Not You)

Who Would Have Continued To Think? (Not You)
By: Tyler Ross

I spent hours on days thinking
And the many times I did find
That my intentions were right
And the extra effort lay in between the lines
But now, who was I kidding
All this work would be a bust
Never thought I’d get caught up in
The mode of anti-chance and anti-trust
I had the option to already let go
From the facts that you did show
It kept me awake but with no mistake
I wouldn’t let myself sink so low

I’m clinging to the railing
Only to prevent from being broken
This is not a game I play
Persistence always in motion
I’ll say it like one, two, three
Open up your eyes
To see where I’m going
Full effort is in effect
Check out my door as it’s open
These words that I speak
Hold the truth and don’t represent the weak
This is not a game I play
Determined to win this very week
Let’s see where you end up going

So why do so many of you
Call it quits so fast?
At the drop of a gun
All you do is run
When you can’t comprehend one
Just stop!
Let’s break, break, break it
The mode of operation
You can give up all you want
Or you can be the first
To start a new celebration
Take my hand
Let’s go
