New Age Uproar (21st Century)

New Age Uproar (21st Century)
By: Tyler Ross

Further and further away
We watch the tides as they fade
Centuries have come and gone
The older we get
The more we don’t get along
Competition
We tend to one up the next
Pushing the envelope
Not giving it a rest
Peace is an illusion these days
Sold as a temporary word
Nobody to collect the life time award
Searching for a solution
Not a muscle movement in the concept
Too much waste
Too much pollution
Rotten minds are the new frequent instrument used
Fused antagonism sky rockets in large numbers
We are the destroyers of familiar borders
No world order within ourselves
Too busy burning bridges
Not keeping thoughts to one self
Relinquishing the next like the common cold
These days are reflected like a nine square letter fold
Today nothing stays gold
Silver lining maybe the strongest hold
Togetherness a rare notion
Selfishness continues to swim our ocean
Peace is an illusion these days
