Sun Bright Over LA City Lights

Its raining in Los Angeles but the sky is black
The ground is dry and there’s a welcome mat
Passage for one a bond not be broken
A smile for two will bring the token
Laughter is the feel good drag
The gentle touch along my long sleeve plaid
Innocence renown as love still lay shy
God’s love divided down the middle multiplies
Soft droplets hardly felt
Moments pass defeating all drought
Life progresses on graciously the Lord’s way
Designed to be together so blissful in every way
The heart yearns for only one
She is my permanent light bright as the sun
