The Perfect Halloween Treat
By: Tyler Ross
Winter nears as the temperature declines
No storm shadows or heavy swells hover the mind
Butterflies jitter, pairing with thousands of nerves
Fingertips frozen while lips stare for a connection
Words spoken softly upon a gentle breeze
Keys jingle with the slightest movement of ease
Hands nourish the beauty of twenty three years
Sparks fly relishing a reflective passion in the clear
Eyes glow in tunnel vision affection
A collection a senses magnetically bond
Their moment sings the perfect song
An impeccable puzzle transforming before dawn
Teeth display the smiles of a colossal choice
Warmth’s presence spreads throughout
His and her voice followed by the last kiss goodnight
Never did he want to lose her from his sight
