May's Angel

May’s Angel
By: Tyler Ross

Light intercepts my eyes
Directing them into a past smile
A burst of electric shock bypasses through
I clinch tighter to her style
She smiles
Two years worth the while
An aura circulates my presence
As we meet half way
My cheeks put my muscles to work
Ear to ear
Oxygen rushes into gear
A summer dress captures and crafts an ultimate rapture
Energy exposed
Stories traded, while smiles escalated
Throughout the Sunday afternoon
Laughter was in permanent bloom
This month of May
Where I can sit back and reflect the day
I spent time with a beautiful angel
