Absent Childhood
By: Tyler Ross
a gluttonous household is found behind many doors
overly protected professional mother’s raising children
the lack of freedom appears throughout a possessive schedule
generally controlled and guided into a mirror image of their ruler
a sophisticated form of child abuse runs a common course
free will is an idea of the past
how long will the molding maltreatment in young lives last?
they rob the adventures of exploration
youth is spent carefully planned and monitored
play dates are advised instead of the simple act of being spontaneous
a free for all revolves around building carbon copies
the carelessness comes to the shaping of the child
what ever happened to stepping out into the wild?
new generation mothers corrupt the creativity of a young mind
forcefully managed by how they decide to spend their time
products of their environment
parents fail and continue to make the bigger statement
