When A Heart Of The Week Grows

When A Heart Of The Week Grows
By: Tyler Ross

It's time to hit the road through this traffic flow
and drive five hours straight away
When all the while, I tell myself just to believe
Don't be so hard on yourself for you can't change a thing
Can't change a thing

The close few, I know
Remind me to remain calm
But I'm still the same
My smile hasn't changed
Tell me what's going on

I lay awake in a hotel room reflecting on my current mood
and I can tell for the first time
This yearning you generate in me
It's natural to miss these feelings you bestow and want to come back home
But patience is everything
I hope you wait for me

From the things you've said to the actions you do
I can't help but think about what other bliss will come from you
With thanks to give and the zealous energy in you that lives
I'll prove to you
I'm forever true
I want to be the one you want

I lay awake in a hotel room reflecting on my current mood
and I can tell for the first time
This yearning I have for you
It's natural to miss these feelings you bestow and want to come back home
But patience is everything
I hope you wait for me

We can take it slow
We can take it slow
I'm in no rush
We can take it slow
I just want you to know
I'm committed to you
So committed to you

I lay awake in a hotel room reflecting on my current mood
and I can tell for the last time
I'm ready to be with you
It's natural to miss these feelings you bestow and want to come back home
But patience is everything
I hope you wait for me

No One Deserves This Heaven More Than Me

No One Deserves This Heaven More Than Me

By: Tyler Ross

Kick all the sound that surrounds my ears

All the distortion trying to interfere

My mind is like a jungle sometimes I suppose

Overcrowded with thoughts trying to keep me low

Persuasion keens in on my days and nights

No need to worry with her by my side

I’ll pick my own lock and open me up

Expose her to my world, nothing to interrupt

I hope she accepts me as the man I am

Without any doubts trying to hold back her hand

Open up her eyes to drill into mine

She would see everything is infinitely fine

Cloud 9 is the status that sets me free

Like a bird, but with archangel wings

Cloud 9 is the status that sets me free

In the loving arms of Gordin is where I want to be

The earth is shaking, but I stand serene

She helps maintain my balance with everything

If perfection were possible, she’d be what you want

The gold is in my hand so flawless I flaunt

Cloud 9 is the status that sets me free

Like a bird, but with archangel wings

Cloud 9 is the status that sets me free

In the loving arms of Gordin is where I want to be

Ceremony

Ceremony

By: Tyler Ross

Speed it up, I’m talking to you

Can’t see straight, well that’s nothing new

You coast through life without a clue

Easy to forget, well that sucks for you

Keep your distance

You look better over there

I’ll wave you over, but no difference

Do you even care?

Cold as glaciers

Then hot as coals

Eliminating both with your selfish hose

I’m stuck with my mind on overdrive

Eating my words to keep me satisfied

Passing on those who waste my time

Eyes straightforward no matter rain or shine

Sticking around, it’s not a fucking option

Intuition is deep

My flag is raised with caution

Familiarity is key; you’ve got learning to do

Repeating mistakes, no help for you

Common sense, break those chains

Realize now, or are you still the same?

Crashing down, can’t help you stand

Weak morals and values can’t comprehend

Fragility Lessening

Fragility Lessening
By: Tyler Ross

Pressure sets before it gets to my fingertips

I’m not losing my mind this time

I can’t believe I have achieved

Overcoming what’s grown inside of me

Patience flows as doors closed

Never in my life have I felt so exposed

Settled nerves helped stumbled words

Come clean as I drive myself in and out of sleep

Break me and take me

I’m here crying out

Hug me and love me

I’m just like you when you shout

I just want to shake this lingering doubt

Being loved, so loved

On top of the world

Over and out

On top of the world I go

Over and out

Stacking The Ritz

Stacking The Ritz

By: Tyler Ross

I called out to flap those wings

You know those moments we find in dreams?

Floaters over a lopsided sphere

Strategically beckoning delight back and forth in the clear

We don’t want to call it quits

We feed off one another’s wits

Passionately blooming as the shoe fits

This is it for we won’t turn our backs

We admit the timing loved us both

Do you want to count the facts?

We are the smiles that stick

We are the process not the waiting to miss

Opportunities equal to make us colossal

We are what made this fun

We are the energy of the sun

Chemically bonded class session 101

Open toed, we feel every piece of grain in the sand

Comfortably stable

We are a solid-coupled successful band

Romantically inclined

Connected in every category

This reality will never cease to shine

A semester ending piece of mind

The Best Seat In The House

The Best Seat In The House
By: Tyler Ross

One empty seat
A room filled with chattering teeth
The studying minds debated
While celebrated peers escalated
The decisions juggled
For some no struggle
The monkeys that hopped off their backs
No longer needed to stay attached
One empty seat
Now became a dream standing on two feet
An attempt became made
As she reached out to speak
“Have we already turned in our papers?”
An easy reply
With those eyes
How could you say, “See you later?”
Even greater
It continued on in between the class
Drawn in so effortlessly
You wouldn’t want to pass
The opportunity said we’re striking gold
Information exchange
We both became sold
To the highest bidders very late
Semester was growing old
But it was now something you could further appreciate
The building up began
No one this time ran
But into each other for bliss
Equally elated
Minds glued and lips when we kiss
Thankful the seat became occupied
She is what you call permanent sweetness
Desired hands tied standing side by side
